When I was invited to play in the basement on Friday November 4th 2022, I knew exactly what I wanted to play as I already had a folder on my computer with a selection of tracks specially collected for that room. Getting an extended 3,5 hour opening slot was perfect for me, as I could build up tension and energy slowly, start playing deep and end on a faster and more energetic note. I remember only being able to see the first row of dancers and the soundsystem being overwhelming, even though I visited the club and this floor numerous times before. But an hour in, when I heard the first people whistle and shout, the nerves made place for endless joy.
